PROVIDING HELP AND SUPPORT TO AUTISTIC PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES SINCE 2013.

Zest is a registered charity for adults with a wide range of learning disabilities and autistic spectrum difficulties. We provide a wide range of high-quality care, support and educational services to meet the needs of autistic individuals of all ages, and their families and carrers

Our aim is to enhance the lives of adults with a learning disability and prevent the issues caused by lack of social interaction and stimulation. We support adults with a wide range of disabilities  to lead a fulfilling life through increased choice, independence and new skills.

We support families to understand how to access our services by providing information, home visits and free taster sessions.

We now offer opportunities to create and sell your own artwork with the skilled support of our Artist Tutor. To find out more about our new Zest Creations project, visit Zest Creations Facebook page.

About Us

dedicated services for adults with disabilities

[vc_column_texto support people witbt]Opportunites:

Based close to the centre of Peterborough, our Opportunities Service provides a broad range of community-based activities for people with learning disabilities. We’ve been supporting people in Peterborough for 10 years. Learning disability or not, every person should be able to take part in new activities that they enjoy. Our opportunities services are designed to help people reach personal goals and try new things, from volunteering to volleyball.

Currently we support theatre, sports, music and art projects as well as gardening, health and beauty activities.

The opportunities we offer for people to make friends, experience new things, and take part in local community activities are always shaped around the individuals and the budget involved.

We offer a range of opportunities designed to develop new skills, increase independence and improve well being.

Each person has an individual plan to promote social and personal development.

We ensure effective support is tailored to each individual as part of their personal plan.

The activities we offer are dictated by the interests and skills of the people we support. Choice of opportunities includes:

  • Arts and Crafts
  • Cooking and Baking
  • Health and Fitness
  • ICT
  • Sensory and Relaxation
  • Walking
  • woodwork
  • Culture awareness
  • Life & Work skills
  • Development of Independence

Our approach, which takes advantage of regional activities, opportunities and resources, has resulted in a diverse project portfolio which aims to enrich the lives, and support the independence of, people with learning disabilities at all levels.

The people we support are involved at every step of a project’s development, where possible. They nurture the seeds of new projects and then grow them.
